Classic Cantina! Definitely stop in when you are near the Historic Center of CDMX! Great tequila selection and cold beer. What else do you need?!
Had the set lunch menu and a few beers. First course was cow stomach soup, next was pasta with ham and cheese and finally beef steak in red sauce all with very good fresh tortillas. $MEX155 with one beer. I sat solo and watched three other tables get plastered at 2pm on a Wednesday. A very enjoyable time.
Popped in here for a few drinks and a meal while watching F1 race. Very nice cantina with a touch of Toros as decor. Food was good and great service by owner Manuel and staff. Will go back, the vibe was very good!
Waiting time of 15-20 minutes but it was absolutely worth it! The chicken enchilladas were so tasty!
Great vibes. Got the bisteca azteca with oxaca cheese on top and it was incredible. Girlfriend got the pina colada with amoretto and hated it. Probably would have tasted fine with rum
Great place! I stood at the bar and had a couple of Margaritas and beers. There didn’t seem to be any other English speaking people there. I watched them make loads of cocktails with skill, and they were very welcoming to this non-Spanish speaking tourist who loves drink! The prices were very fair. The food looked good (for local basic) and I will return and eat. Highly recommended amidst a bunch of boring looking tourist places.
Excellent service food and drinks. 100% recommend. $75 for a decent pina colada.
This is one of the only remaining historic cantinas in Mexico City. It a special place to to enjoy a cold beer and great food. With only one exception the other historic cantinas have either closed or have become expemsive tourist traps. While it may not have all its original charm, it still has the feel of a traditional cantina with a local following. Everyone friendly and great service. It is one of my regular stops when I visit Mexico City. The place is relatively small, with a few seats at the bar. Daily menu of food choices. There is a full bar with a good selection of distilled beverages and mixed drinks. Historic photos and artifacts on display. Enjoy.
